Sometimes, life doesn’t give you the luxury of a two-week notice. When I left the job I moved to Washington for three years ago, there was no time for that. And honestly? It turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.

At the time, I had just started dabbling in officiating—booked one wedding—and we were already dog-sitting a bit. Then came the shove I didn’t know I needed to turn those side gigs into something real. Pressure? Yeah, I thrive under it.

Fast forward to August 13, 2024, and Doggy Paradise, LLC is official. I’ve never been a fan of the number 13, but hey, Taylor Swift loves it, so I’ll roll with it.

This month, I’m thrilled to be officiating a handful of weddings, each one more exciting than the last. Meanwhile, I’ve gone down a Temu and Amazon rabbit hole, letting my marketing brain go wild. The next couple of weeks? All about marketing, engaging, and networking like a boss.

But the best part? Being home. With my guys. Healthy, happy, and exactly where I’m supposed to be.
